    Understanding the Medium

You will slowly see how ideas become real through beautifully crafted design. But this has to be coupled with a great understanding of the medium; in this case the medium is all the objects on my desk, around my room and on my table that I have collected. Try to understand how different objects behave; Why don't bangles bend? How much can rubber bands stretch? What sort of folds, does the belt create? How well, can books be arranged?

By playing with, and observing the medium carefully one can understand what it allows us to do and what it doesn't. Instead of using a pencil or a pen today we will be writing with ropes, wires, safety pins, scarves, paper, keys, balloons, clips, clothes pins, rubber bands, U-pins, belts, measuring tapes, screws, pebbles and anything else that we can find.
